June 2009 - Redmile Vintage Fayre comes to the village
A traditional summer fayre at St Peter's Church and in the Playpark. Stalls include vintage crafts, plants, home made preserves and chutneys, old fashioned lemonade, second hand books, sweets, strawberry cream teas and a barbeque. Family fun in the park including Punch and Judy, a pirate ship with a treasure hunt, coconut shy tombola, guessing games and stocks with guest appearances(!). See the diary for full details and pray for good weather....
April 2009 - Playpark Maintenance Update
A big thankyou to all who came along to the spring playpark maintenance day - one of the best attended days in recent years allowed us to get lots done! Unfortunately, we had to remove the parallel bars this year as the bases of the supports had rotted beyond repair. However, a new basketball hoop for the smaller children, as well as repainting the hopscotch grid and a general tidy up will hopefully make up for the loss...
March 2009 - New Village Events
Lots more happening in Redmile over the coming months - check out the diary section for details...

October
2008 - Thankyou! and New Dates for the Diary
Thankyou to all who came along (Iain, Duncan, Tim S, Tim H, Chris and Nathaniel) and helped paint the fencing at the playpark on Saturday - there's still a 12ft section left to finish of the front fence - any volunteers? The next playpark committee meeting is at The Peacock Inn on Monday 3rd November at 8pm. As the playpark is both funded and maintained by local families, it's essential that everyone tries to give their time or their money (or both!) to ensure that this resource stays open - please do come along if you can.
There are also some new village events scheduled in November and December to help raise funds for St Peter's - have a look in the diary section for details.

The playpark committee would like to thank those hardy souls who turned up on Saturday 27th October and helped repair the small climber, small slide and the picnic tables. Additionally, many thanks to Brendon who organised the day, collected the materials and erected the new fence along the rear edge of the park. The next committee meeting is in the diary for January - more members would be welcome to ensure that we can keep the park open and safe for our many hundreds of annual visitors.

Two

church fair (inside due to the inclement weather!) on Saturday
7th July and raised £260. However, St Peter's is in need
of additional assistance to help meet its operational costs

invited to attend the fundraising kick-off in September - details

are warning all pet owners to be vigilant following the theft
of an additional four dogs from a nearby village within the

2007

and April are shaping up to be busy months in the village with
Mother's Day and Easter activities featuring high in the website Diary section.
Also in March is this year's annual
parish meeting, to be held at 7.30pm on Monday the 12th

opportunity to discuss your thoughts on the running of the village
directly with council members.
And, as the weather improves with the spring, this year's playpark
maintenance rota swings into action and will be complemented
by a soon-to-be-announced series of fundraising events - many
thanks to all who give up their time to help.
